As Aylesbury Vale Enterprise Zone (AVEZ) approaches its 5th anniversary, we wish to appoint suitably qualified/ experienced consultants to work with us and our partners to review our progress so far and create a new 5 Year Implementation Plan for 2021/26. The new Implementation Plan will ensure that AVEZ plays a key role in assisting the Buckinghamshire economy to recover and grow, capitalising on its key economic assets, including the AVEZ sites at Silverstone Park, Westcott Park, and Aylesbury Woodlands. New Innovation Centre Opens at Westcott

Westcott, 19th October 2020 - The UK space sector will take its next significant step forward today with the opening of a new multi-million-pound Innovation Centre at Westcott in Buckinghamshire. Roundabout unlocks potential at Westcott

A new multi-million pound roundabout project to improve traffic flow and unlock potential for growth at Westcott Ventre Park was officially opened on Friday 2nd October. Construction work on the £2 million roundabout and access scheme started in January 2020 to replace the former T-junction with a new dedicated access to the Park from the A41. International lifestyle drinks brand Eighty-One to locate UK base at Silverstone Enterprise Zone

EIGHTY-ONE, an energy drink and mineral water manufacturer that partners with the Racing Heroes motorsport team for wounded and disabled military veterans, has become the first business to agree terms on new commercial premises being constructed in Silverstone Park’s Enterprise Zone. The business, launched by entrepreneur Pit Heeb in Switzerland five years ago, will occupy one of seven stand-alone industrial units. Satellite Application Innovation Centre nearing completion

Work is progressing well at the Satellite Application Innovation Centre at Westcott Park, which is due to open this summer. Bucks LEP are investing £3.2m (including £1.2m from the AVEZ) in a new National Centre for Satellite Applications, alongside the UK Space Agency, which includes a new Innovation Centre and training hub for the next generation of technicians, scientists and engineers working in this field and helping develop the links between businesses and academia in this high growth sector.  The centre is linked with the 5G Testbed and Business Incubation centre making use of the live rocket propulsion testing [...]

We’re on the road to…growth

During quieter road conditions due the lockdown, work has advanced on the new A41 Westcott roundabout to enable the Westcott Enterprise Zone to move ahead with plans for a £3.2 million innovation centre, a high-tech business space for world-leading space propulsion and satellite industries. Placed at the heart of the Oxford to Cambridge Arc, the site has the potential to become a major hub for the UK space programme and the application of  5G innovation technologies.

Symmetry Park Aston Clinton Reaches Completion

The first phase of construction at Symmetry Park, Aston Clinton in Aylesbury has been completed. Three high-quality units comprising 56,034 sq ft, 83,831 sq ft and 112,148 sq ft have been built by A&H Construction. Tritax Symmetry secured a pre-let during construction for the 83,831 sq ft unit to Global Infusion Group (GIG) on a 15-year lease last year. MEPC increases speculative industrial development at Silverstone Enterprise Zone

MEPC has confirmed that a recently announced 138,000 sq ft speculative development scheme at its high-tech business estate Silverstone Park will be increased to 258,000 sq ft due to market demand. ‘Olympic’ sports engineering hub officially opens at Silverstone Enterprise Zone

A cutting edge sports engineering facility for world class athletes has officially opened at Silverstone Park. The Silverstone Sports Engineering Hub (SSEH) – which includes two wind tunnels and a sports fabrics R&D centre – is the brainchild of Brackley based aerodynamics and computational fluid dynamics specialist TotalSim. It is housed in a new 26,400 sq ft building as part of a wider 125,000 sq ft speculative development by Silverstone Park developer MEPC within the Aylesbury Vale Enterprise Zone. […]
