Satellite Application Innovation Centre nearing completion

Work is progressing well at the Satellite Application Innovation Centre at Westcott Park, which is due to open this summer. Bucks LEP are investing £3.2m (including £1.2m from the AVEZ) in a new National Centre for Satellite Applications, alongside the UK Space Agency, which includes a new Innovation Centre and training hub for the next generation of technicians, scientists and engineers working in this field and helping develop the links between businesses and academia in this high growth sector.  The centre is linked with the 5G Testbed and Business Incubation centre making use of the live rocket propulsion testing [...]

We’re on the road to…growth

During quieter road conditions due the lockdown, work has advanced on the new A41 Westcott roundabout to enable the Westcott Enterprise Zone to move ahead with plans for a £3.2 million innovation centre, a high-tech business space for world-leading space propulsion and satellite industries. Placed at the heart of the Oxford to Cambridge Arc, the site has the potential to become a major hub for the UK space programme and the application of  5G innovation technologies.

Symmetry Park Aston Clinton Reaches Completion

The first phase of construction at Symmetry Park, Aston Clinton in Aylesbury has been completed. Three high-quality units comprising 56,034 sq ft, 83,831 sq ft and 112,148 sq ft have been built by A&H Construction. Tritax Symmetry secured a pre-let during construction for the 83,831 sq ft unit to Global Infusion Group (GIG) on a 15-year lease last year. MEPC increases speculative industrial development at Silverstone Enterprise Zone

MEPC has confirmed that a recently announced 138,000 sq ft speculative development scheme at its high-tech business estate Silverstone Park will be increased to 258,000 sq ft due to market demand. ‘Olympic’ sports engineering hub officially opens at Silverstone Enterprise Zone

A cutting edge sports engineering facility for world class athletes has officially opened at Silverstone Park. The Silverstone Sports Engineering Hub (SSEH) – which includes two wind tunnels and a sports fabrics R&D centre – is the brainchild of Brackley based aerodynamics and computational fluid dynamics specialist TotalSim. Silverstone Park “at the forefront” of Enterprise Zone use

Zone (EZ) at Silverstone Park has received high praise in front of an audience of 100 influential property developers. Lunaz electric classic car designs come to Aylesbury Vale Enterprise Zone

Lunaz has become the seventh ‘vehicle electrification’ business to locate to Silverstone Park but it is offering something rather different – converting prestigious classic/vintage cars to electric power. Buckinghamshire Thames Valley Local Enterprise Partnership (BTVLEP) is delighted with the announcement that £2m of its Local Growth Funding has been invested in the development of a new 26,000 sq ft state-of-the-art sports engineering innovation centre at Silverstone Park.
